Security Controls Assessor

Responsibilities

• Assess and recommend enterprise security controls and enhancements for mission assurance
• Provide SME support for RMF activities within eMASS or other designated tools
• Perform technical and operational analyses of supporting artifacts and provide risk recommendations
• Triage authorization, POA&M, System Security Plan, and System Categorization requests
• Identify non-compliant submissions and document them in Package Return Reports
• Perform Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) on NIPRNet and SIPRNet
• Compile Authorization Official packages including risk assessments and required artifacts
• Manage eMASS user accounts and track package status from submission to approval

Requirements

• Active IAM-III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM)
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience
• Active DoD Secret security clearance
• BA/BS degree from an accredited university
• Thorough understanding of DoD RMF tool eMASS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of the DoD mission

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ports, Protocols, Services Management (PPSM)
