Security Communications Officer

Responsibilities

• Monitor all security cameras and fire alarms within the communication center
• Answer security telephone and radio calls and dispatch personnel accordingly
• Maintain accurate logs of all received calls, alarms, and dispatch times
• Respond quickly to emergencies and maintain Emergency Response certification
• Complete daily activity reports and review pass-on book information
• Report maintenance and grounds issues through daily activity reporting
• Comply with all university handbooks, security SOPs, and policy manuals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to maintain Emergency Response certification
• Commitment to completing at least 40 hours of new employee training

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous law enforcement training
• Previous security training
