Security Associate

Responsibilities

• Monitor building access, alarm, fire, and video management systems within the Security Operations Center.
• Coordinate radio communications across internal stakeholder groups and respond to safety roll calls.
• Maintain an active presence in public areas to observe and deter suspicious activity while providing a welcoming environment.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support, including CPR and AED use.
• Perform regular patrols of site structures and property to identify and report risks or hazards.
• Accurately document all activities, including incident forms, service logs, and end-of-shift reports.
• Manage access control, vendor/visitor management, and the issuance of identification badges and keys.
• Assist with incident response for inclement weather, loss prevention, and lost child protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of customer service experience in a public-facing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods and climb stairs or ladders.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain high focus while monitoring multiple screens and radio communications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary coursework in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field.
• Proficiency with video surveillance and access management systems.
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification.
• Familiarity with the FEMA Incident Command System.
• Fluency in languages other than English.
