Security Armed Officer

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• Warn violators of infractions such as loitering, smoking, or possession of prohibited items
• Perform duties including patrols, checkpoints, temperature checks, and gatehouse monitoring

Requirements

• Valid Armed KC Security License
• Valid Driver's License
• One year of prior security background
• Personal firearm, duty belt, and Level 3 holster
• Reliable transportation
• High school degree or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
• Physical ability to crawl, crouch, climb stairs, kneel, run, sit, stand, stoop, and walk for extended periods
