Security Architect

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity architectures compliant with ISO/SAE 21434 and UN R155 mandates across the vehicle lifecycle
• Implement UN R156-compliant Software Update Management Systems (SUMS) with secure OTA mechanisms
• Conduct threat analysis and risk assessments (TARA) per ISO 21434 requirements
• Design hardware-rooted security controls for automotive SoCs including secure boot, HSM, and TEE
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure component security meets ISO 21434 and UN R155 obligations
• Develop automotive-specific security requirements for AI/ML systems in autonomous driving platforms

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing security solutions for embedded automotive systems
• Expertise in automotive communication protocol security (CAN bus, Ethernet IDS)
• Experience in cryptographic engineering for resource-constrained environments
• Proficiency with embedded debug tools (JTAG, UART, Trace32) and vehicle network analysis (Vector CANoe, Wireshark)
• Strong systems programming skills in C, C++, or Rust for bare-metal and RTOS environments
• Experience with threat modeling and security code reviews for safety-critical software
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive security components

Preferred Qualifications

• Contributions to open-source automotive security projects
• Experience with autonomous vehicle sensor security (LiDAR/Camera spoofing countermeasures)
• Background in hardware security evaluation (glitching, fault injection)
• Experience with reverse engineering automotive firmware (ARM Cortex-M/R, QNX)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for ECU software and SBOM generation
