About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of cybersecurity architectures for next-generation automotive systems
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 and UN Regulations 155/156 (CSMS and SUMS)
  • Conduct threat analysis and risk assessments (TARA) per ISO 21434 requirements
  • Design hardware-rooted security controls including secure boot, HSM, and TEE implementations
  • Develop secure OTA update mechanisms with cryptographic verification
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure component security meets regulatory and supply chain requirements
  • Define security requirements for AI/ML systems in autonomous driving platforms

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience designing and deploying security solutions for embedded automotive systems
  • Expertise in automotive communication protocol security (CAN bus hardening, Ethernet IDS)
  • Experience with cryptographic engineering for resource-constrained environments
  • Proficiency with automotive security toolchains including JTAG, UART, Trace32, Vector CANoe, and Wireshark
  • Strong systems programming skills in C, C++, or Rust for bare-metal and RTOS environments
  • Experience with AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive security components

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with autonomous vehicle sensor security (LiDAR/Camera spoofing countermeasures)
  • Background in hardware security evaluation such as glitching or fault injection
  • Reverse engineering and vulnerability research on automotive firmware (ARM Cortex-M/R, QNX)
  • Contributions to open-source automotive security projects
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) security testing
