Security and Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary point of accountability for customer trust enablement, including security reviews and AI governance
• Contribute to AI Governance by building guardrails aligned with EU AI Act, ISO 42001, and NIST AI RMF
• Partner with Legal and Privacy to interpret regulatory requirements and support security-sensitive contractual discussions
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product to ensure regulatory expectations are reflected in system design
• Translate regulatory and privacy expectations into scalable technical controls across model governance and data handling
• Own and evolve customer-facing trust materials related to AI, privacy, and security
• Represent Sierra in customer audits and formal assessments
• Support resilience and response expectations as part of broader governance
• Streamline workflows and increase automation to improve trust and signal quality

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in security compliance, privacy, or regulatory roles in SaaS, fintech, or AI companies
• Deep experience with EU regulatory frameworks including GDPR, DORA, and EU AI Act
• Demonstrated ability to operate globally across US and APAC regulatory norms
• Experience engaging directly with enterprise and regulated customers
• Ability to translate abstract regulatory requirements into real-world practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience operationalizing DORA, EU AI Act, or ISO/IEC 42001
• Experience working in fintech or AI companies globally
• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF or CSA AI controls
• Experience with cross-border data transfer and residency in multi-cloud environments
• Experience automating global security and compliance workflows
