Securities Valuations Internship

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver valuation reports to internal and external clients in a timely manner
• Ensure the daily receipt of pricing feeds, broker quotes, and other relevant data
• Identify, research, and resolve price discrepancies that break established tolerance levels
• Identify and communicate fair value situations, escalating issues to senior team members when necessary
• Maintain proper documentation and backups for audit purposes
• Participate in unit project initiatives and provide outstanding client service
• Work collaboratively with peers to achieve group and client goals

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Administration, or Economics
• Proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications, specifically Excel and Access
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate information and reach sound conclusions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Fluency in English (French is considered an asset)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of capital markets and complex securities
• Ability to work effectively in a continuous operations environment
