Securities Research Associate

Responsibilities

• Assist on work streams for M&A, corporate finance, and capital market transactions within the Energy & Power (E&P) sector
• Develop in-depth understanding of E&P sub-sectors including Upstream, Midstream, OFS, Energy Transition, and Power
• Prepare pitchbook components such as industry overviews, company profiles, and valuation multiples
• Support equity and debt capital raising activities, including IPOs and bond issuances
• Perform comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and financial modeling
• Conduct industry benchmarking and identify key M&A trends and valuation indicators
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to quality checking and project management
• Utilize market databases such as FactSet, Refinitiv, Enverus, and Capital IQ Pro

Requirements

• 2+ years of Securities Research experience or equivalent professional training
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, valuation techniques, and accounting fundamentals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience with market databases and financial analysis tools
• Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s in Finance from a premier educational institute
• Prior experience in Energy & Power, Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, TMT, FIG, or Industrials
• Ability to leverage AI platforms for data analysis and content drafting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction
