Securities Research Associate

Responsibilities

• Support the US Corporate Banking team through credit analysis, client engagement, and financial documentation
• Assist in identifying and evaluating origination, financing, and refinancing opportunities across various sectors
• Develop client pitch materials, PIBs, and credit-related documentation including credit memos and annual reviews
• Conduct borrower rating analysis, capital structure reviews, and covenant tracking
• Monitor market developments and prepare sector updates and newsletters
• Utilize CRM systems to track client engagement and profitability metrics
• Mentor and coach junior team members on analytical tasks and best practices
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive execution and deliver client solutions

Requirements

• 2+ years of Securities Research experience or equivalent professional experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong understanding of credit metrics, covenants, capital structure, and financial statement analysis
• Strong logical, analytical, and systematic problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, CA, CFA, or Master's in Finance from a premier educational institute
• Experience in Corporate Banking, Credit Research, or Debt Advisory
• Experience working within the Energy & Power sector
• Proficiency with market intelligence tools such as FactSet, Capital IQ, Moody’s, S&P, or Thomson One
