Securities Finance Trader

Responsibilities

• Interface with borrowers and global trading desks to optimize revenue by lending client securities in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Negotiate transaction pricing with borrowers based on market supply and demand factors.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with borrowers and internal partners, including trade support and client servicing teams.
• Monitor the trading book to ensure effective risk management regarding corporate actions and liquidity management.
• Provide analytical support to senior traders by interpreting data to support trading decisions.
• Assist in the deployment of new technology tools to automate trading processes.
• Evaluate client portfolios for performance reviews and future revenue estimates.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience within the financial services industry or relevant internship experience.
• Knowledge of securities lending markets and processes.
• Knowledge of Asia-Pacific financial markets, including operational and corporate event processes.
• Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, or other programming skills.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin or Cantonese.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
