Section Manager, Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Manage specific manufacturing areas to ensure production schedules and metrics (Moves, Turn Rate, Cycle Time, Daily Outs) are met
• Ensure the quality of all products produced in-line within the assigned area
• Provide leadership to employees and establish a positive workforce environment through regular communication and hands-on management
• Plan and schedule work assignments based on personnel availability, workload, priorities, and materials
• Implement cross-training plans and counsel subordinates on proper operation procedures
• Identify and implement solutions for emerging manufacturing issues and report production status to management
• Maintain shift liaison between Quality, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and other departments
• Administer grievance procedures and serve as the primary interface with Union Stewards
• Maintain control charts to demonstrate area performance and enforce Fab Protocol and 5S+ Standards

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a related field OR an AA degree with Fab Operator experience
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Ability to work a compressed schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday (5:15am – 5:30pm)

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial Engineering degree
• Experience in the semiconductor industry
• Experience working in a Union environment
