Section Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage junior engineers, site engineers, subcontractors, and operatives
• Allocate labour, plant, materials, and temporary works to meet programme and budget requirements
• Identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub-Agent
• Conduct site evaluations and develop Health & Safety and Quality documentation
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution
• Assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, and resource/cost plans

Requirements

• Degree or HNC/HND qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of site experience, specifically including setting out, utilities, and earthworks
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD 3D
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• CSCS, SMSTS, TWS, or TWC certifications
• Experience with BIM/Digital tools and planning software (P6, Aphex, MS Project)
• Awareness of commercial processes
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
