Secondary Teacher of Science and Physical Education

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across all key stages that link with the real world and align with department schemes of work.
• Assist in the process of curriculum development to ensure a comprehensive, high-quality programme at all key stages.
• Use homework and assessments to monitor and track pupil progress, implementing interventions for underachieving students and challenging high achievers.
• Provide effective feedback and communicate regularly with parents regarding student strengths and targets.
• Work collaboratively with department colleagues and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to implement school improvement plan priorities.
• Contribute to the continued development of Physical Education and sport at the City campus.

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching Science and Physical Education up to Key Stage 4.
• Ability to deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and the IB Diploma Programme.
• Experience with curriculum development and delivery.
• Strong communication skills for providing professional feedback to parents and stakeholders.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
