About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons across all key stages that align with department schemes of work.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of a high-quality, comprehensive curriculum.
  • Use assessments and homework to monitor pupil progress, providing interventions for underachieving students and challenges for high achievers.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student strengths and academic targets.
  • Collaborate with department members and senior leadership to implement school improvement priorities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as mathematical competitions and clubs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an international teaching equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics across secondary key stages.
  • Experience delivering IGCSE, Pearson International A Level, or IBDP (Analysis and Approaches / Applications and Interpretation) curricula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with various international examination boards and curriculum frameworks.
  • A passion for fostering enthusiasm for mathematics in an international setting.
