Responsibilities

• Assist in the developing, implementation, and review of Individualised Learning Plans
• Identify students requiring additional support through assessment data and observation
• Support classroom teachers to differentiate curriculum and teaching strategies
• Advise staff on reasonable adjustments in line with Disability Standards for Education
• Assist in the management of the Nationally Consistent Collection Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD)
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records and case notes
• Liaise with parents and carers regarding student progress and transition planning
• Assist students with assessment accommodations and exam provisions
• Work with students individually and in small groups within mainstream settings
• Assist students in developing positive behaviours and emotional resilience

Requirements

• Active Christian faith
• Suitable teaching qualification and NESA accreditation (or eligibility)
• Knowledge of Learning Support and/or Special Provisions (desirable)
• Ability to demonstrate excellent teaching per Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
• Capacity to collect and analyse educational data to devise interventions
