Responsibilities

• Perform watchkeeping and engine room duties
• Maintain, repair, and inspect all technical installations
• Supervise the third engineer and trainees
• Order and manage spare parts
• Maintain logs and maintenance systems
• Distribute daily tasks within the team
• Oversee compliance with safety and environmental procedures
• Support special operations such as cargo handling and port activities

Requirements

• Valid 'Second Engineer all ships, no limitations' certificate
• STCW certificates for the position
• Experience as a third or second engineer at sea
• Knowledge of onboard safety and environmental procedures
• Proficiency in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
• Valid passport, medical examination, and vaccinations

Benefits

• Salary according to RollDock CAO for seafarers (€ 3.101,90 – € 5.207 gross per month)
• 30% fixed allowance for overtime onboard
• Travel days paid as workdays (max. 2 days)
• Full reimbursement for training according to the training matrix
• Work schedule of 3 months on – 3 months off
