About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Cook in food production and menu preparation
  • Prepare hot side dishes according to menu standards
  • Ensure all food preparation is completed, documented, and meets quality standards
  • Record food temperatures in the registry
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas
  • Manage proper food storage and rotation
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols

Requirements

  • Diploma in hospitality, catering, or equivalent technical training/experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills
  • High sense of customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in remote workforce accommodation camps
  • Experience in isolated environments within natural resources or construction sectors
  • MAPAQ certification (handler and/or manager)
