About the role
Responsibilities
- Meet daily with the First Cook to discuss menu preparation and production strategy
- Assist the First Cook in the preparation of all menu items as needed
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
- Prepare and serve hot breakfast as required
- Replenish desserts and condiment stations
- Assist in the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen and serving areas
- Practice correct food handling guidelines and storage procedures
Requirements
- Current Food Safe certification
- Experience in large-scale cooking (camp, banquet, or hotel settings)
- Ability to commit to a 3 week on/3 week off rotation
- Valid government issued photo ID
- Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol, Health Assessment, and Criminal Background checks
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
