About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Cook in food production and menu preparation
- Prepare hot side dishes according to menu standards
- Ensure all necessary food preparation is completed and meets quality standards
- Record food temperatures in the registry
- Participate in cleaning and maintaining kitchen and service area cleanliness
- Manage proper food storage and rotation
- Perform tasks safely and report any incidents immediately
Requirements
- Diploma in hospitality, catering, or equivalent technical training/experience
- Minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Strong teamwork and customer service skills
- Adaptability to changing conditions and varied tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in remote workforce accommodation camps
- Experience working in isolated environments within natural resources or construction sectors
- MAPAQ certification (handler and/or manager)
