Seasonal Grounds Worker

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for summer grounds maintenance
• Prepare athletic fields for games, including marking and equipment set-up
• Maintain turf areas, including topsoil, seeding, watering, and fertilizing
• Plant, water, prune, and mulch flower, shrub, and tree beds
• Set up for major college events
• Remove litter and debris
• Assist with equipment repair and facilities maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
• Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner

Requirements

• 1-2 years experience in lawn and landscape maintenance
• Knowledge of proper equipment use
• Knowledge of horticulture or landscape maintenance
• Valid driver's license and good driving skills
• High school diploma or vocational background preferred
