Seamgas Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Lead the operation and maintenance of surface gas extraction infrastructure
• Manage Seamgas Operations contractors including planning, coordination, and financial control
• Generate physicals for the Monthly Operating Plan and contribute to the Annual Business Plan
• Manage safety systems, compliance requirements, and work management processes
• Maintain effective budgeting and cost control systems
• Provide accurate planning and scheduling baselines for strategic plans
• Compile high-quality mine site reports and contract performance updates
• Communicate regularly with the workforce through formal sessions and engagement
• Identify and deliver business improvement opportunities

Requirements

• Previous experience within the coal or gas industry
• Supervisor competencies recognized by the Coal Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee
• Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver operational targets
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and workforce leadership skills
• Ability to use business systems for reporting and decision-making
• Experience developing and controlling departmental budgets and expenditure

Preferred Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Maintenance Management or a related field
• Project management skills or qualifications
