Seamgas Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surface seam gas drainage activities and resources to meet operational targets
• Manage and implement short- and medium-term surface gas drainage strategies for the Aquila Mine
• Provide technical advice and planning services to optimize the value of mine resources
• Work with the Seam Gas Department to optimize SIS gas drainage designs
• Continually review borehole performance (SIS, UIS) to ensure drainage aligns with predicted performance
• Develop and communicate 24-hour plans and assist in developing weekly drainage plans
• Ensure all activities comply with statutory requirements and company standards
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to develop solutions for specific operational issues

Requirements

• S1, S2, S3, and G2 qualifications
• Demonstrated technical leadership in Seam Gas Operations
• Experience in underground coal mining with a focus on seam gas activities
• Expertise in safety and risk management within a mining environment
• Strong knowledge of relevant mining legislation and its application
• Ability to use business systems and provide relevant data for business purposes
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
