About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic growth by leading the creation and execution of sales strategies to expand market share.
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of high-value key accounts to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Lead complex negotiations, including RFQs, contracts, and executive-level discussions.
  • Conduct deep customer needs assessments to design tailored logistics solutions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, pricing, and product teams to ensure service delivery.
  • Mentor and coach junior sales staff to elevate overall team performance.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and provide reliable sales forecasts for strategic decision-making.
  • Represent the Kuehne+Nagel brand at industry events and high-level customer meetings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of field sales experience specifically in sea logistics or sea logistics freight forwarding.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and close high-value deals.
  • Strong business acumen and consultative selling skills within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Demonstrable experience in mentoring or coaching junior team members.
  • Up-to-date market knowledge to benefit internal and external clients.
