SDET/Senior SDET (Java Backend)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable automation frameworks for backend services and APIs from scratch
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code for test suites and utility tools
• Perform deep-level API testing, validating business logic, data integrity, and system performance
• Containerize test environments using Docker and manage deployments within Kubernetes clusters
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins/GitHub Actions pipelines
• Collaborate with Developers and Product Managers to identify edge cases
• Lead quality initiatives and mentor junior engineers (Senior role)

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Core Java (Collections, Streams, Multithreading, and OOPs)
• Extensive experience with RestAssured, Karate, or similar API automation libraries
• Strong problem-solving skills with Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)
• Deep understanding of Microservices, JSON/XML, and Database validation (SQL/NoSQL)
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with Maven or Gradle
• 3–5 years of experience for SDET or 5–8 years for Senior SDET

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Performance Testing tools like JMeter or Gatling
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Understanding of asynchronous systems and Message Queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Active contribution to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile
