Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical SME for the Scripting department, providing expert oversight across complex online survey programming.
• Perform hands-on scripting and programming of high-complexity online surveys using the Confirmit platform.
• Explore emerging survey technology, AI-enabled research tools, and automation opportunities to improve scalability.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex scripting issues, technical risks, and quality concerns.
• Provide upfront technical reviews of questionnaires to identify scripting risks and recommend efficient design solutions.
• Support the transition from an outsourced model to an in-house model by identifying readiness gaps and capability risks.
• Build and deliver upskilling plans for the scripting team, focusing on complex programming like conjoint exercises and segmentations.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Scripting Managers and Executives.
• Partner with Research, Project Management, and Analytics teams to ensure design supports accurate downstream data flow.

Requirements

• More than 11 years of experience in a senior scripting role within a market research agency.
• Deep proficiency in the Confirmit scripting platform.
• Strong practical knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience using AI or automation tools to improve survey scripting or workflow efficiency.
• Proven experience scripting complex quantitative research studies (trackers, conjoint, segmentations, etc.).
• Strong understanding of quantitative research methodologies and healthcare market research standards.
• Experience establishing or maturing an in-house scripting function.
• Demonstrable experience mentoring and coaching technical team members.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare or life sciences market research experience.
• Experience developing reusable scripting templates, code libraries, or automation tools.
