Screening Lead

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the screening area to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company SOPs
• Perform donor identification, registration, and verification to confirm eligibility
• Assess donor health by reviewing history forms and conducting vital signs measurements (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight)
• Perform fingerstick blood sampling to check hematocrit and total protein levels
• Identify pre-donation risk factors or deferral criteria based on health information and behavioral assessments
• Train and mentor new and existing staff on screening procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols
• Maintain a smooth donor flow and ensure the screening area is clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Review donor records for accuracy and compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements
• Handle minor donor relations issues and support retention initiatives through professional service

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and remain on your feet for most of the workday
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on donor care
• Ability to follow strict protocols and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting
• Comfortable using computers and data entry systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in plasma or blood collection
• Experience in a regulated healthcare environment
• Prior leadership or staff training experience
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA, cGMP, PPTA, and OSHA
