About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform psychiatric emergency services, screening, and outreach assessments for individuals of all ages.
  • Provide in-depth clinical assessments to determine appropriate levels of care and intervention plans.
  • Identify appropriate level of care disposition using DSM-5 criteria and clinical expertise.
  • Develop disposition plans involving the individual, their family, or significant others.
  • Explain referral and disposition processes to individuals in a clear and supportive manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff members and external referral sources.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution.
  • One year of post-master's, full-time professional experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • Eligibility to receive New Jersey State Certification as a Mental Health Screener within one year of employment.
  • Ability to work off-hours shifts in a 24/7 operation, including holidays and alternate weekends.
