About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform psychiatric emergency services, screening, and outreach assessments for individuals of all ages.
  • Determine appropriate levels of care and intervention plans using DSM-5 criteria and clinical expertise.
  • Develop disposition plans involving the individual, their family, or significant others.
  • Provide on-site, outreach screening, and commitment evaluations during assigned shifts.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
  • Contribute to a supportive environment that preserves the human dignity of persons served.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution.
  • One year of post-master's, full-time professional experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • Eligibility for New Jersey State Certification as a Mental Health Screener within one year of employment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work off-hours, including nights, holidays, and alternate weekends in a 24/7 operation.
