About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform psychiatric emergency services, screening, and outreach assessments for individuals of all ages.
- Determine appropriate levels of care and intervention plans using DSM-5 criteria and clinical expertise.
- Develop disposition plans involving the individual, their family, or significant others.
- Provide on-site, outreach screening, and commitment evaluations during assigned shifts.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
- Contribute to a supportive environment that preserves the human dignity of persons served.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution.
- One year of post-master's, full-time professional experience in a psychiatric setting.
- Eligibility for New Jersey State Certification as a Mental Health Screener within one year of employment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work off-hours, including nights, holidays, and alternate weekends in a 24/7 operation.
