Scrap Auditor

Responsibilities

• Support and promote plant-wide scrap improvement efforts to reduce costs.
• Manage scrap reporting, tracking, and providing information to internal and external vendors.
• Drive continuous improvement activities across all departments to meet scrap reduction targets.
• Oversee RMA and chargeback processes, ensuring timely filing and accounting reconciliation.
• Act as a liaison with vendor representatives to monitor quality issues, sorts, and on-site activities.
• Collaborate with Materials, Production, Quality, and Engineering departments to track scrap-related costs.
• Manage and track finesse, repair, and teardown activities.
• Maintain system entries (CMS) to ensure holds are communicated and materials are dispositioned correctly.
• Monitor the plant floor to prevent the aging of parts and ensure correct disposition of non-conforming products.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 2-4 years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of OEM quality expectations for painted plastics, mold, and chrome-plated products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as a self-directed individual with excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a quality background.
• Understanding of basic SPC and tooling to obtain variable and qualitative data.
• Knowledge of IATF standards.
