SCM Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and adjust production plans based on customer forecasts and coordinate schedules with domestic and overseas suppliers.
• Manage procurement of materials and components from overseas affiliates and maintain accurate SAP/ERP records.
• Monitor assembly process progress and optimize production schedules to ensure stable manufacturing.
• Oversee end-to-end logistics, including raw material receiving, warehouse activities, and finished goods shipment.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods through effective stock control.
• Collaborate with quality, purchasing, and logistics departments to resolve operational issues and drive process improvements.
• Communicate with overseas sites in English to ensure smooth global coordination.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in production control, supply chain management, or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (TOEIC 700+ equivalent).
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems such as SAP.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience coordinating with overseas locations, suppliers, or customers in a global environment.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as IATF16949 or ISO14001.
