SCL Engineer/Shift Manager

Responsibilities

• Uphold and promote high standards of health, safety, and environmental awareness
• Conduct daily HSE inspections and implement corrective actions
• Manage and supervise shift engineers to ensure smooth operations
• Prepare, review, and communicate method statements and risk assessments
• Maintain accurate documentation for excavation, reinforcement, and concrete works
• Coordinate and review as-built drawings with surveyors
• Compile and manage documentation required for QA packages
• Ensure Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and checklists are followed
• Confirm timely availability of materials and equipment such as shotcrete and reinforcement
• Monitor daily activities to ensure progress aligns with construction programmes
• Communicate effectively with site management, technical specialists, and client representatives
• Organise and oversee subcontractor activities
• Verify that materials and workmanship meet design specifications

Requirements

• Experience in civil engineering supervision or shift management
• Ability to manage HSE inspections and risk assessments
• Proficiency in maintaining technical documentation and QA packages
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder management
• Ability to coordinate resources, materials, and plant to meet programmes
