Scientist/Sr. Scientist-Preclinical Antibody Drug Development

Responsibilities

• Select and evaluate therapeutic targets with a strong understanding of MOA, druggability, and delivery options
• Design experimental strategies to advance candidates from RenBiologics Antibody Binder/Lead Library toward therapeutic development
• Drive projects by assembling resources, managing timelines, and ensuring alignment with program objectives
• Engineer antibodies to improve affinity, specificity, stability, and manufacturability
• Optimize antibodies through advanced molecular designs, such as Fc engineering or bispecific formats
• Evaluate lead antibodies for binding, function, and developability
• Collaborate with discovery, manufacturing, and BD licensing teams to advance and out-license antibody assets
• Maintain clear documentation and present findings to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related field with 2+ years of experience, or MS with 5+ years of experience
• Expertise in antibody engineering and optimization, including affinity maturation and stability improvement
• Strong expertise in target biology research, including MOA and druggability
• Proven ability to independently drive projects and meet critical milestones
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork
