Scientist/Senior Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of biologics formulation and delivery strategies for monoclonal antibodies and vaccine products
• Design vaccine delivery approaches to achieve desired immune responses based on disease biology
• Conduct studies to characterize molecular and biophysical properties of various modalities including peptides, proteins, and nucleotides
• Develop and optimize parenteral biologic formulations such as solutions, emulsions, and lyophilized products
• Optimize lyophilization cycles for injectable dosage forms
• Prepare antibody and vaccine formulations for clinical evaluations
• Collaborate with cross-functional and external project teams to execute technical deliverables
• Coordinate technical transfer activities and manufacturing facility usage for drug product batches
• Monitor new technologies and regulatory requirements to ensure alignment with Quality and EHS standards

Requirements

• M.S. with 5+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience, or a Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience
• Educational background in Immunology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Drug Product Development, or a related discipline
• Research focus on antibody and vaccine formulation and delivery for vaccines or immunotherapeutics
• Strong working knowledge of immune pathways and molecular biology

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in parenteral biologics liquid and freeze-dried formulation development
• Advanced knowledge of drug delivery systems for biologicals
• Hands-on experience with emulsion and particulate formulation development
• Experience in the development of mRNA-based vaccines
• Understanding of biochemistry, degradation pathways, and protein stabilization
• Proficiency with biophysical techniques for characterization and problem-solving
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable technical insights
