About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead bioinformatics analyses across discovery and translational sciences using RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, WES, WGS, and other omics datasets
  • Develop reproducible computational workflows for QC, processing, feature engineering, and visualization
  • Integrate internal datasets with public cancer resources like TCGA, DepMap, and CCLE to prioritize targets and biomarkers
  • Build analyses connecting cancer genotype, lineage, CIN biology, and therapeutic hypotheses
  • Partner with discovery teams to design experiments and interpret results
  • Support translational strategy by connecting preclinical models to patient genomics
  • Build durable, modular code using Python/R, workflow management, and version control
  • Utilize AI coding assistants to accelerate code generation and documentation while maintaining scientific accountability
  • Define technical standards for reproducible bioinformatics across the organization

Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or a related quantitative field
  • Deep experience analyzing high-throughput sequencing data, specifically transcriptomic and cancer genomic data
  • Strong coding proficiency in Python and/or R, with Unix/Linux and bash skills
  • Familiarity with cloud or HPC environments for large biological datasets
  • Biological insight in oncology, cancer genomics, or DNA damage response
  • Experience in target discovery, biomarker discovery, or computational oncology
  • Experience analyzing functional genomics screens, CRISPR dependencies, or multi-omics studies
  • Proven track record of collaborating with wet-lab scientists
  • Experience using AI coding assistants or LLM-based developer tools
