About the Company
At Glyphic Biotechnologies, we plan to create the protein revolution for which scientists and researchers have been waiting. We are developing a massively parallel, single-molecule proteome sequencing platform that will transform life science discovery and usher in a new era of insights into human biology and disease.
Responsibilities
- Lead assay reagent development activities, including formulation, characterization, and optimization for enzymes, oligos, beads, and solvents.
- Characterize reagent performance using design-of-experiments (DOE) approaches to establish operating bounds.
- Design and execute reagent storage stability studies under accelerated and real-time conditions.
- Build and implement a QC and control framework for platform reagents, including acceptance criteria and lot release protocols.
- Develop, qualify, and transfer QC test methods such as HPLC and fluorescence-based functional assays.
- Establish and maintain SOPs for assay reagents and integrated workflows.
- Partner with the Automation team to implement and qualify reagent-dependent assay steps on liquid-handling platforms.
Requirements
- Degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
- PhD with 4+ years, MS with 6+ years, or BS with 8+ years of relevant industry experience for Senior Scientist.
- PhD with 2+ years, MS with 4+ years, or BS with 6+ years of relevant industry experience for Scientist II.
- Proven bench expertise in reagent development or analytical science.
- Deep understanding of reagent formulation principles and stability studies.
- Experience working with chemically reactive or environmentally sensitive compounds.
- Strong experimental design skills using DOE.
- Experience establishing and maintaining robust SOPs for integrated workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in proteomics reagents, protein modification chemistry, or peptide-oligonucleotide conjugates.
- Experience with automation platforms for liquid handling (e.g., Hamilton, ThermoFisher, Agilent).
