About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and validate a high-power metal-air fuel cell for Voya’s generator
- Develop novel current collector and electrode architectures to improve cell power, efficiency, and durability
- Work with Voya’s material scientists to select and optimize cathode, anode, and electrolyte materials and form-factor
- Work with Voya’s product development team to scale and demonstrate cell from lab to pilot and production-intent systems
Requirements
- Track record of developing novel electrochemical cell architectures
- Experience with flow-based systems such as fuel cells, flow batteries, or electrolyzers preferred
- Experience working with cross-functional teams for system or device development
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
