Scientist, Sr

Responsibilities

• Support the tech transfer of new products from R&D to manufacturing, primarily focusing on qPCR reagents and assays.
• Ensure smooth product launches by working closely with R&D and manufacturing teams.
• Draft robust production procedures and provide hands-on training to production personnel.
• Develop and draft effective QC test procedures, establish data-driven pass/fail specifications, and assist with material setup in SAP.
• Assist in troubleshooting and providing post-launch support for existing and new product lines.

Requirements

• PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field (or a Bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience).
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Hercules, California.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with new product development, product transfer, or scale-up.
• Experience with microbiology and PCR reagents applied to bacteria detection and food testing.
• Experience with droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) applications.
