About the role

About the Company

Cloverleaf Bio is an early-stage therapeutics company that is developing a new class of engineered tRNA therapeutics. Our tRNAs target an underappreciated vulnerability of cancer: addiction to high levels of tRNA modifying enzymes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and perform low and high-throughput RNA screening assays
  • Generate RNA sequencing libraries
  • Perform mechanistic studies in cells on lead candidate RNAs
  • Explore new disease areas beyond oncology

Requirements

  • PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics or related fields
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to independently drive research projects to completion
  • Experience with RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, RT-PCR, qPCR, and western blotting
  • Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and passaging

Preferred Qualifications

  • Competency generating libraries for RNA sequencing (mRNA-seq, CLIP-seq, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze NGS data using bioinformatics tools
  • Research experience in tRNA, RNA biology, or RNA modifications
  • Experience with RNA therapeutics design and lipid nanoparticles
  • Experience with mouse models of oncology
