Scientist, Protein Expression & Purification

About the Company

Adaptyv is building an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments. We are building the infrastructure that gives AI agents access to the physical world, helping advance the era of agentic science.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and run mammalian expression hands-on (CHO/HEK, transient and stable)
• Own purification across modalities including Protein A, IEX, and SEC
• Turn expression and purification into a productized, high-throughput, automated capability
• Partner with lab automation to scale workflows onto automated systems
• Work with the software team to track samples and process parameters
• Set the quality bar and troubleshoot failures across biology, reagents, and process

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on expertise in mammalian protein expression and purification (CHO/HEK)
• Applied industry experience in a production or industrial setting
• Track record of making production reliable through titer optimization and scale-up
• Ability to collaborate with automation engineers and software teams
• Experience with the full path from construct to purified, characterized protein

Preferred Qualifications

• Data fluency including scripting and analyzing process data
