About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze and integrate multi-omics datasets (e.g., WES/WGS, RNA-seq, single-cell) to characterize tumor antigen landscapes
- Apply computational methods to support antigen discovery efforts and investigate tumor-immune interactions
- Leverage internal and public datasets (e.g., TCGA, GTEx, IEDB) for biomarker exploration and hypothesis generation
- Develop and maintain reproducible analysis workflows using Python, R, and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in immunology, oncology, and translational research to support experimental design
- Communicate results clearly through presentations and documentation to support team decision-making
Requirements
- Ph.D. or M.S. with 4+ years of experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field
- Experience with high-throughput sequencing data analysis, including DNA-seq and RNA-seq
- Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis
- Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
- Demonstrated ability to apply computational approaches to biological or early-stage translational research problems
- Ability to work onsite full-time at Moderna's Cambridge, MA location
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to immuno-oncology, cancer vaccines, tumor immunology, or computational immunology
- Familiarity with neoantigen prediction approaches, including HLA typing and peptide-MHC binding tools (e.g., NetMHCpan)
- Experience with immunogenomics resources such as IEDB and TCGA
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in a team-oriented environment
