Responsibilities

• Maintain human primary cell lines, including sample tracking and quality control
• Develop cellular and biochemical assays
• Benchmark and select candidate cell lines, stimuli, and assay dynamic ranges in monoculture and co-culture models
• Execute perturbation screens on cell models
• Support the translation of assays into robust, high-throughput, automated workflows
• Perform data analysis and quality assurance protocols
• Monitor lab activities, maintain reagent stocks, and ensure equipment maintenance
• Communicate outcomes to cross-functional teams across biology, machine learning, and automation

Requirements

• PhD with 1-2 years experience or Master's degree with >5 years relevant experience
• Strong background in primary and immortalised cell lines, preferably with bioreactors
• Experience running functional disease-relevant endpoints
• Knowledge of CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing in 2D and 3D cell systems
• Experience with pathway-modifying perturbation screens
• Hands-on experience with High content imaging
• Extensive knowledge of data handling, curve-fitting, and statistical analysis
• Experience with industry-standard record keeping

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of target modulation in fibrosis
• Experience working with ‘omics experiments and datasets
• Experience with automated laboratory systems
• Prior experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO environments
