Scientist

Responsibilities

• Independently develop, design, and execute experiments to support research, feasibility, and product development efforts.
• Analyze complex data using statistical methods and prepare findings in the form of tables, graphs, and presentations.
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks, experimental procedures, and batch/test records.
• Troubleshoot and optimize experiments, communicating issues and solutions to management.
• Perform literature and market research to support new research or product areas.
• Lead and supervise the work of others, establishing priorities and providing performance feedback.
• Support the preparation of invention disclosures, patent applications, grant proposals, and scientific papers.
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety precautions and company policies.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Master’s degree with at least 6 years of independent research or development experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of statistics is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to organize and move project tasks forward in a structured fashion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to peer groups and management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Postdoctoral or industrial research experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• A strong record of scientific publications.
