Scientist Lubrication

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Grease Life and Friction modeling, transferring experimental research into physics-based models.
• Contribute to and support the development of Lubrication research roadmaps.
• Guide and support collaborations with external partners, including universities and suppliers.
• Steer technical discussions with stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, and manufacturers to map future business needs.
• Manage Research and Technology development activities focused on lubrication and innovation.
• Mentor and coach junior specialists, including researchers and senior researchers with PhDs.

Requirements

• PhD in mechanical engineering, physics, or chemical engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in bearing lubrication and modeling gained after completing your PhD.
• Advanced knowledge of grease lubrication and various modeling techniques.
• Proven experience in lubricant selection, specifications, and tribology.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills to drive technical solutions.
• Ability to bridge the gap between customer technology needs and R&D.
• Fluent in English with advanced communication skills.
