About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform a range of procedures in laboratory rodents, including handling, multi-route dosing, clinical health assessments, biologic sample collection, and necropsy
- Conduct ex vivo sample processing and analysis
- Contribute to the development and optimization of surgical techniques and in vivo research models
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable SOPs, IACUC protocols, and company policies
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic laboratory records
Requirements
- Doctorate degree OR Master's degree with 2 years of biopharmaceutical industry/academic experience OR Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience
- Extensive hands-on experience handling and performing routine procedures with laboratory rodents
- Proficiency in multiple in vivo dosing routes (IP, PO, SC, IV)
- Experience with diverse blood collection methods, serum/plasma processing, necropsy, and perfusion techniques
- Proficiency in reagent preparation, performing calculations, and applying sterile technique
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cardiovascular and inflammation models
- Skills in echocardiography, En face aortic preparation, or single-cell preparation (including flow cytometry)
- Experience with tissue processing for RNA, protein, and ELISA-based analyses
- Proficiency with IVIS imaging and small rodent survival surgery
