Scientist - In vivo pharmacology - Discovery Research

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of procedures in laboratory rodents, including handling, multi-route dosing, clinical health assessments, biologic sample collection, and necropsy
• Conduct ex vivo sample processing and analysis
• Contribute to the development and optimization of surgical techniques and in vivo research models
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable SOPs, IACUC protocols, and company policies
• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic laboratory records

Requirements

• Doctorate degree OR Master's degree with 2 years of biopharmaceutical industry/academic experience OR Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience
• Extensive hands-on experience handling and performing routine procedures with laboratory rodents
• Proficiency in multiple in vivo dosing routes (IP, PO, SC, IV)
• Experience with diverse blood collection methods, serum/plasma processing, necropsy, and perfusion techniques
• Proficiency in reagent preparation, performing calculations, and applying sterile technique

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cardiovascular and inflammation models
• Skills in echocardiography, En face aortic preparation, or single-cell preparation (including flow cytometry)
• Experience with tissue processing for RNA, protein, and ELISA-based analyses
• Proficiency with IVIS imaging and small rodent survival surgery
