About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on in vivo work in mice, including dosing, handling, health monitoring, and blood collection
- Perform necropsies and collect tissues to support downstream workflows
- Execute tissue workflow activities including fixation, trimming, embedding, cryosectioning, and slide preparation
- Maintain high-quality tissue and slide standards through proper specimen orientation, labeling, and QC
- Partner with scientists to execute study plans, communicate progress, and present data to study teams
- Maintain accurate experimental records and coordinate sample flow from collection to handoff
- Participate in dosing and husbandry, including occasional evening or weekend work
Requirements
- Doctorate degree OR Master's degree with 2 years of In Vivo Pharmacology experience OR Bachelor's degree with 4 years of In Vivo Pharmacology experience
- Experience with in vivo rodent studies in an academic or industry setting
- Proficiency in mouse techniques such as dosing, blood collection, and health monitoring
- Demonstrated skill in necropsy and the collection, dissection, and preservation of tissues
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with histology workflows, including tissue fixation, processing, embedding, and staining methods
- Ability to manage sectioning workflows and prepare high-quality slides for downstream analysis
- Familiarity with mouse husbandry and vivarium-based study support
- Cardiovascular in vivo research background
