Scientist in Physics and Scientific Programming

Responsibilities

• Drive the translation of innovative ideas into new power grid device features through physical modeling, scientific programming, and advanced data analysis
• Elaborate and implement new models to improve the understanding of physical phenomena, including electromagnetic, fluid-dynamics, mechanical, and nonlinear material behavior
• Collaborate with a global and interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to identify and solve impactful industrial challenges
• Build relationships within the company and interact with external partners, including universities and vendors
• Disseminate research results through scientific publications, patent applications, and technical reports

Requirements

• PhD in physics with a strong theoretical background or in applied mathematics
• Proven expertise in collaborative software development, visualization, and working with large code bases
• Practical experience using simulation software and tools for engineering problems
• Proven track record of publications in top scientific conferences and journals
• Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative team player attitude
