Scientist II/Senior Scientist, Protein Sciences

Responsibilities

• Design and generate stable and transient cell lines expressing target antigens to support antibody discovery
• Develop and maintain cell lines optimized for whole-cell panning and display-based selection workflows
• Develop, optimize, and qualify cell-based binding assays including flow cytometry, cell ELISA, and equilibrium binding formats
• Adapt assays to higher-throughput formats to increase screening capacity
• Innovate cell engineering workflows for characterization of binder libraries

Requirements

• PhD in cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field with 3+ years post-grad experience (or MS with 8+ years)
• Expertise in mammalian cell engineering and cell line development
• Demonstrated experience with FACS and general assay development
• Strong knowledge of antibody characterization including affinity, avidity, specificity, and epitope binning
• Ability to work independently and design rigorous experiments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with whole-cell panning and display-based selection (phage or yeast display)
• Familiarity with various antibody formats
• Experience with orthogonal biophysical binding methods such as SPR or BLI
• Experience adapting assays to automated or high-throughput platforms
