Scientist III or Principal Scientist I - LC-MS and Analytical Support - FSP

Responsibilities

• Routinely check instrument performance and suitability, prepare mobile phases, and perform routine upkeep of open access LC-MS instruments
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and data/file transfers
• Communicate instrument status to end-users and respond to repair calls
• Troubleshoot and repair simple issues such as leaks or clogs
• Coordinate repair tickets for more complex technical issues
• Assist with purity analysis of investigational compounds using LC and high-resolution MS experiments
• Support the installation and qualification process for open access instruments, including vendor coordination
• Perform LC and LC-MS analysis of small molecule samples as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (or closely related field) with 3-5 years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree in Chemistry (or closely related field) with 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC)
• Hands-on experience with Waters, Sciex, or Agilent LC-MS instrumentation and software
• Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry
• Strong communication and coordination skills
