Scientist III – Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) and Analytical Support

Responsibilities

• Provide LC-MS instrument support, including troubleshooting leaks or clogs and coordinating complex repairs
• Perform vaccine analytical testing, including sample preparation for total protein, enzymatic digests, and electrophoresis
• Conduct LC-MS and biophysical sample testing, such as particle size and thermal stability analysis
• Maintain accurate documentation, instrument records, and laboratory organization
• Support general lab operations, including pipette calibration, supply ordering, and shipping

Requirements

• B.S. in Chemistry or a related field with 3-5 years of experience, or an M.S. with 1-2 years of experience
• Hands-on experience with LC-MS instrumentation and software (Waters, Sciex, or Agilent)
• Proficiency in Reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC)
• Experience with sample preparation, handling, and plate-based analytical methods
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage instrument maintenance and schedules
